Vayu Naidu Storytelling Theatre is a local company

that shares stories of world cultures globally 

 

Vayu Naidu Company was founded by Dr Vayu Naidu in November 2001 as a Company Limited by Guarantee, and in November 2006, the organisation became a Registered Charity.

Vayu Naidu Company is governed by a Board of Directors who are also Trustees of the Charity. There are currently four Board members, each chosen because of their specialist knowledge. Alongside Vayu Naidu, VNC also employs a part-time General Manager and other freelance staff where appropriate. We have a Guild of Resident Storytellers and Apprentices who are trained in the craft of storytelling and who deliver performances and educational and other projects under the direction of Dr Vayu Naidu.

As a Regularly Funded Organisation Vayu Naidu Company is supported by Arts Council England, but we also generate income by charging for our performances and services. We strive to make our work affordable to all by charging modest fees to schools and/or individuals and supporting the true costs of our work through fundraising for grants and sponsorship. Any profits made are re-invested back into the company to support the work we do.
